Class Descriptions Yoga Basics - Using basic yoga postures the focus is on alignment, relaxation and breath. Perfect for beginners and those with muscular- skeletal issues (arthritis, back and neck problems, etc.) Gentle Yoga - Slow-paced class with simple breathing exercises and postures designed to bring strength, balance, and flexibility to the body . This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga. Chair Yoga - Fantastic for beginners or anyone whose range of motion is limited by arthritis, injuries, etc. Pretty much anyone can do this pose. All Levels - A Vinyasa (flowing) style with focus on alignment and breath, strength, balance and flexibility, creating a path to final relaxation and stillness. Adaptations are given to accommodate all levels. Yoga Movement - Open up with flowing movements influenced by Tai Chi Chi, Gong and Dance followed by basic yoga postures that focus is on alignment, relaxation and breath. Finish with Pilates based exercises to enhance your core and a very gentle relaxation. Restorative and Rehabilitative Yoga - Perfect for beginners and those with muscular-skeletal issues (arthritis, back and neck problems, etc.) This class features gentle postures to bring strength and flexibility to the back and neck, hip openers and poses designed to open the body and to restore the internal systems of the body. Very relaxing and great for managing stress. Strong, Stretched and Centered - Toning for the legs, buns, arms, back, and abs followed by easy stretching and relaxation. Water
Aerobics/yoga - 35 minutes of aerobic movements (twisting, jogging, skiing type movements- made low impact by being in the water), 10-15 minutes of FITRHYTHMS - A fantastic new fitness program combining drumming and movement into an effective, exciting, uplifting and exciting, workout that doesn't feel like work. TOO much fun will be had by all. Remember to get approval from your doctor before participating in any fitness/movement program. Always let your instructor know if you have any medical concerns or limitations.
